Bacalhau is a genuine European dish, the name exist in at least in 16 languages.
Main ingredient must be Norwegian cod fish that is prepared in a very special process dating back 500 years. First, fish is salted in big open tank. Then salt is washed away traditionally in sea water before being dried under open air on the rocks of cliff close to ocean. Therefore the name Klippfisk in Norwegian language which literally means "rock fish" in English.
There are numerous ways of utilising the raw material which is cod fish, normally cooked in pan or pot, baked in oven or even grilled.
When cooked in pot, the unique taste and salt from fish soaks in taste from olives and all ingredients making it a unique and tasty as well as healthy food experience.
