What you can experience
How about enjoying flowing somen (noodles) in the lush countryside of Tsukui, just an hour away from the heart of Tokyo?
This event, previously featured on the television show "HiruNandesu," is hugely popular every year! You will create the flowing somen lane and dishes from bamboo, freshly cut from the local area. It's a handmade and environmentally friendly flowing somen experience.
As you savor the somen flowing down the bamboo lane, listening to the soothing sounds of the river and taking in the magnificent mountain views, you'll truly feel the essence of a summer day in the countryside. Plus, you'll be using bamboo dishes and chopsticks that you make yourself.
Once you've had your fill of somen, why not indulge in some fun in the clear waters of the Doshi River? Grown-ups can relax in the shade, enjoy some drinks, or dip their feet in the river to cool off—it's entirely up to you.
Let's fully enjoy the beauty of the countryside!
