How about creating your own organic yuzu pepper in Fujino, a countryside area just one hour away from the heart of Tokyo? In the Fujino region, there's a long-standing tradition among many local farmers of planting "yuzu" in fallow fields.


Yuzu, cherished for its use in yuzu baths and culinary creations, thrives in Fujino's pristine air and abundant sunlight. With its delightful fragrance, yuzu has been used to produce a range of products including wine, jams, ponzu sauce, cider, and sweets.


Yuzu pepper is one such creation. Set against the backdrop of a 150-year-old traditional farmhouse, our retreat takes you to the steep slope behind the house, where a yuzu orchard stretches out. Harvesting the aromatic "green yuzu" that's not fully ripe in this orchard, you'll use the green yuzu and locally grown organic chili peppers to craft your very own original yuzu pepper. For lunch, participants and staff will come together to make traditional "handmade udon" and enjoy it. Amidst the scent of the meticulously cultivated green yuzu and chili peppers, and while relishing the magnificent view from the ancient farmhouse, immerse yourself in the experience of creating yuzu pepper during this retreat.

・There is a parking lot at the meeting point. If you are coming by car, please let us know in advance.


・If you are coming from Fujino Station, we offer transportation to and from Fujino Station for your convenience.

Reception, Greetings (about 10 minutes)

Move to the yuzu orchard while strolling (about 20 minutes)

Green yuzu harvesting experience (about 30 minutes)

Move to the ancient farmhouse "Najikubo" (about 5 minutes)

Yuzu pepper making&Handmade udon experience (about 3 hours)

Exploration of the surroundings

◯ What to Bring Comfortable and attire that can get dirty (long-sleeved clothing, long pants, rubber boots or hiking shoes), your own bag for picking yuzu, apron, and an enthusiastic spirit.
